SURVIVOR – BRAINS VS BRAWN VS BEAUTY – 3/12/14

Having struggled to get through another week until “Survivor Wednesday,” I am happy to be writing this recap. As I’ve mentioned the last couple weeks, I’ve been going back and reviewing ALL previous seasons of Survivor. I’m up to season 20 now (“Heroes vs. Villains”) so I can’t wait to see all those big personalities clash in Samoa .

It’s been great going back and seeing how this amazing show found its roots and blossomed into the show it’s become. I’ve re-watched the “snakes and rats” speech, Boston Rob’s (just “Rob” back then) first stint in the Marquesas (where he was a non-factor), naked girls in the Amazon, Brian Heidik’s porn wife, a Jenna Lewis sex tape (what?!), a bunch of hook-ups (Rob/Sarah, Candice/Adam, Rob/Amber, Ozzy/Amanda, Parvati/Adam/Candice (!)… and the introduction of Russell Hantz to Survivor lore. Damn, there have been so many great moments to revisit…

SURVIVOR – BRAINS VS BRAWN VS BEAUTY – 3/5

Holy smokes, has everyone recovered from last week? Does everyone agree we hate J’Tia? Are the Lobotomies on a downward spiral to an Ulong level demise? Should the tribe be absorbed like previous tribes that have failed this miserably, or should we just sacrifice all the players and throw them into a volcano?

Maybe just J’Tia…

It’s been a week and I still can’t get over how poorly the Lobots played in week 1. With all that brainpower, with all that history, you’d think something clever would have come out of that tribe; instead, we were subjected to a breakdown that rivaled some of the best this show has ever seen. Even when I saw the promo spots for this week’s episode (with J’Tia crying), it looked like we might be in for another meltdown. Oh, please, let the Survivor gods vote off J’Tia…

SURVIVOR: BRAINS VS BRAWN VS BEAUTY – 2/26

Welcome back to Season 28 of the Greatest Show on Television! I’m still Bryan Fischer and I’m back to recap every episode of Survivor: Cagayan, “Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty,” or as I’ve been calling it, “Brainiacs vs. Biceps vs. Boob Jobs. Not sure that’s who we’ll get, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’m accurate in one of those categories…

I trust you all had a great “off-season” but now it’s time to get back into the Survivor groove. I’ve actually been deluged with the show for a while now, like I mentioned in a Tweet a few weeks ago. I’m working on a huge project (shhh, it’s a secret) that involves going back and reviewing all 27 seasons of Survivor.
