Super excited to be bringing this week’s recap to you for a couple reasons. First of all, it’s Survivor, and we’re junkies. More importantly, I finally get to reveal my BIG ANNOUNCEMENT that I’ve been teasing for weeks. You’re gonna have to wait until the end of the column to read it (or just skip to the end) but I think your patience will be rewarded. Frankly, I didn’t scour the CBS site for previews of tonight’s episode. I fully expect to see a lot of commercials in the coming weeks since I’ll be watching a lot of March Madness on CBS. Having struggled to get through another week until “Survivor Wednesday,” I am happy to be writing this recap. As I’ve mentioned the last couple weeks, I’ve been going back and reviewing ALL previous seasons of Survivor. I’m up to season 20 now (“Heroes vs. Villains”) so I can’t wait to see all those big personalities clash in Samoa .

It’s been great going back and seeing how this amazing show found its roots and blossomed into the show it’s become. I’ve re-watched the “snakes and rats” speech, Boston Rob’s (just “Rob” back then) first stint in the Marquesas (where he was a non-factor), naked girls in the Amazon, Brian Heidik’s porn wife, a Jenna Lewis sex tape (what?!), a bunch of hook-ups (Rob/Sarah, Candice/Adam, Rob/Amber, Ozzy/Amanda, Parvati/Adam/Candice (!)… and the introduction of Russell Hantz to Survivor lore. Damn, there have been so many great moments to revisit…

Welcome back to Season 28 of the Greatest Show on Television! I’m still Bryan Fischer and I’m back to recap every episode of Survivor: Cagayan, “Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty,” or as I’ve been calling it, “Brainiacs vs. Biceps vs. Boob Jobs.
