SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS WATER FINALE – 12/15

If you’re a Survivor fan like me, you always view the season finale as a bittersweet night. On one hand, we get to place that final piece of the puzzle: Who is the sole survivor? Who outlasted everyone else? Who was able to avoid becoming flotsam or jetsam based on wit, alliance, or luck? On the other hand, it’s a depressing night, because we know we’ll be without the show for a couple months, which means we’ll have to return to our pathetic, monotonous lives…

Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh, but sometimes it feels like that when Survivor isn’t on the air. If you’re like me, you mark on the calendar when the show is coming back, and you count the days. And you ask yourself, “maybe this time I’ll actually pay attention to when applications are due,” because – if you’re like me – you get so caught up in watching the season that you forget entirely to send in the application and video. That’s only happened about 20 times to … Continue reading

SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS WATER – 12/11

Two episodes to go and I’m starting to get an itchin’ for some Final Tribal bitchin’… There’s really nothing in all of reality TV that compares to that moment the first jury member gets up to ask their final question. I just hope and pray that SOMEONE has the balls (hello, Vytas…) to pull some crazy s**t and just nail whomever’s left.

“…we’ve got tonight, babe….”

The recap of last week offers nothing new so basically, we start by seeing Katie heading to Redemption Island . The “moms” have waited up, and are either knitting or watching Golden Girls, so they hardly notice Katie’s arrival. After they realize she’s there, Katie relays the whole “white rock” drama, and as fans of the game, you can tell that Laura and Tina know the significance of getting “rocked out,” as Katie calls it.

So now that both Tina and Katie are at Redemption, Tina is starting to think that she might have a problem … Continue reading

SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS WATER – 12/4

Really excited to be writing this recap because of what’s apparently in store. As some of you may have seen in a commercial this week, some serious crap is gonna go down at Tribal Council, which is the “significant event” that Jeff Probst alluded to in that Hollywood Reporter interview back in October (which I shared with you in the Episode 6 recap). But rather than telling you what it is, let’s just let the episode unfold and see where we end up. Let’s get this party started!

After the recap, we see Hayden’s campfire announcement about Tyson that was teased last week. However, while it seemed in the tease that Hayden was exposing Tyson as the ringleader and placing a target on his back, tonight it appears that Hayden is being congratulatory towards Tyson…and placing a target on his back. This seemingly annoys Gervase, who thinks he’s actually doing something other than being the person that Tyson relays all the information to that’s been shared with him. But at least we’re seeing a division … Continue reading
