We’re rounding third and heading for home. Only a few more episodes until we wrap up what’s turning out to be a better season than expected. After Blood vs. Water’s weekly emotional rollercoaster, the whole Brains-Brawn-Beauty theme sounded like a good idea, but I think we can agree those delineations meant nothing, as tribes (specifically the Brains) did nothing to validate their characteristic trait. And after a few questionable acts and decisions made by certain players, what was once a possible Top Ten season quickly deteriorated into another middle-of-the-pack soap opera. But thankfully, some incredibly big moves were made and it’s once again shaping up to be a strong finish. We’ll get to all that in a bit, let’s take care of some business first.

Are you kidding me?! We’re already nine episodes deep into the season and I still have no idea who’s going to be top three. It seems it’s anyone’s ballgame at this point, but deep down I believe that only 6 of the final 8 have a chance to make Final Tribal. Sorry, Jeremiah and Jefra, but it appears your ships have sailed. Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of Survivor players, and with all the blindsides and big moves this season, there’s no reason that ANY of the remaining 8 couldn’t make top 3.

Hello! A lot to get to this week with the recap, the next release of names in the rankings of players, and the item I mentioned last week about a concept for Season 30. Before we delve into all of that, I wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who’s been commenting, following me, favorite-ing my tweets, and sending emails. I’ve noticed a lot more action this week on Twitter, for which I’m very grateful. Michael Skupin was nice enough to send a couple tweets, which I think is pretty cool.
