SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS WATER – 11/6/13

Hello again, fellow Survivorheads. Episode 8 is upon us, and since we know the merge is happening tonight, that means the real game of Survivor is about to start. Because everything that happens prior to the final merge is just an appetizer. We’re heading to the main course and everyone’s got their bibs on…

So in the recap of last week, aside from the information we already know, we’re reminded that Tyson was fishing for Immunity Idol clues when the tribes got switched up. That tells me that he may be on the prowl for it this episode. We’re also reminded of Laura B’s boneheaded play with Vytas, which I still can’t believe.

10 are left, who will be voted out tonight…!?

Night 18 at Galang, and the tribe is back from Tribal. Vytas (of course) is extolling that he “feels such great trust in this tribe” but what else would he say when he’s escaped two tribals in a row as the sole man on the chopping block. And with the merge looming, looks like he may escape a few more tribals.

The tribe is discussing numbers, specifically that the four remaining Galang members could hook up with Aras and Gervase (because Vytas KNOWS Gervase and Aras are tight…) How? And then Tina throws Monica an olive branch and tells her “you’ll be our fifth once we merge,” which doesn’t sit too well with Monica, who spells out her plan to us in an ITM that she can play the free agent card, because #5 doesn’t sound like a winning hand for Mrs. Culpepper.

Redemption Island welcomes its latest victim as Laura B. approaches the losers hut. Announcing herself, I’m sure John and Laura M. were shocked to hear that it wasn’t Vytas.

Oh, but wait ’til you hear what a stupid thing I did!

She tells them, but of course she leaves out the part that makes her look stupid.

“Oh, did I mention I told him IN FRONT OF EVERYONE WITHOUT DISCUSSING IT WITH THEM FIRST?”

Sure, it sounds like YOU got screwed when “the girls didn’t go with the plan,” and hopefully for her, she won’t have too long to suffer her indiscretions too long. But she also knows there may be a merge tomorrow, so no matter what, she’ll go to the grave thinking the other women made a bad decision.

I wonder what Rupert said to her after watching this episode?
