I will say that I loved the sad music playing during the Dawn crying montage. And, they “makes me want to spit” line was pretty epic! Man, I’ve NEVER been sad/mad enough in my life to want to spit before! I wonder what that feels like. And, I wonder if she knows that she can spit whenever she wants to. Just go ahead and let it rip, Dawn. You’re free to spit up and down the beach as often as you want. Perhaps this whole spit scenario stems from her losing her teeth. Maybe she got mad as a child, went to go spit at someone, and instead of saliva coming out of her mouth, her entire denture came out and clonked onto the ground, and fell to the feet of the person she was aiming at, and has forever been insecure about attempting to spit. I think my theory has some validation to it. It’s all about her teeth.
With the spit saga out of the way, we move on to the Immunity challenge, where Eddie believes he needs to hold on for dear life, or he’s gone. Well…that didn’t take long, He went out second. Good work this season, Eddie. You’ve been such a physical threat all season long. Can someone tell me why they want to send this guy packing so badly? Keep this fool around for a guaranteed non-vote in the final 3! That’s my advice to you dummies.
In the end, Brenda and Dawn had a showdown. Just like the week before (or two weeks ago – I can’t remember which), Brenda didn’t want to give up immunity with a struck deal between her and Dawn. She wanted the person who won to have earned it. And, yet, five minutes later, she (says) jumped off because she wanted to keep Dawn sane. And happy. Didn’t you learn anything from yourself last week (or two weeks ago)? Do these people not know that they’re playing Survivor? For a million dollars? And that blindsides happen like it’s nobody’s business? Geez. These people are pieces of work, I tell ya!
Back at camp, Cochran is trying to rally some troops to get Brenda voted out at this Tribal council, but thinks it will be a hard sell. I don’t think it will be that hard of a sell, Cocky boy! For some reason, everyone around camp is assuming Brenda is the favorite (why, I don’t know, but they seem to be thinking that way), so getting her out is clearly the right move to make at this point in the game. Why vote Eddie out when he’s proven to be worthless in the challenges, as well as in the game itself. Nobody is going to vote for him to win the money.
He takes the idea to Sherri, first. Well, I guess I should say he allows Sherri to guess his idea for the vote. She seems to semi-agree with it, in the way the editing team likes to play with our minds, making us think she’s agreeing to it. Next after Sherri is Dawn. She worries about Eddie winning the next immunity challenges, and leaving it up to him who to take to the final 3. Have you not been watching this entire season, Dawn? That kid isn’t going to win ANYTHING! And, even if he does, he despises Sherri, so it’s quite obvious he’ll be cutting her head off the first chance he gets. Also, even if he wins, you’re in an alliance with Cochran, so you two can just stick together, and you’ll go into the final 3 together, with Eddie. Assuring that one of you two will win the money.
So, we head to Tribal, thinking it still could be Eddie, but also with the thought in the back of our minds that they MAY be pulling a quick one on Brenda. And, as Probst is probing the group (I have to believe he has it in for Brenda the way he’s always trying to turn the group on her) about keeping Eddie around since he’s no good at anything in life, you can see the fear bubbling up inside of Brenda’s cute little body. And, after Jeff reads off her name the first time, she has to know she’s going home! Which she does. She gets 3 votes and joins the jury, right next to the person she blindsided last week (Andrea). Karma sucks, right?
The only thing I didn’t get is why Cochran didn’t bother to go to Eddie and tell him to vote Brenda? In the game of Survivor, you can’t always trust the people you’re teaming up with. For all Cochran knew, Dawn or Sherri weren’t going to go along with the plan, and they would’ve voted Eddie, too, and his whole plan would have been blown up and he would have definitely been the next to go. Why not try and shore up that extra vote just to make sure? I guess that just really shows us how little they think of Eddie. He’s practically worthless.
But, hey, on the bright side – no split vote talk!!!!!!!! I’m rejoicing because of that. It only took them until the penultimate episode, but a win is a win!
Just so everyone is aware, the finale is on this Sunday, Mother’s Day! It’s the same old, long @ss 3 hour “special.” Ugh. Maybe I’ll just blog the live hour finale this year. We’ll see how it goes. We’re down to 5, and it’s pretty much anyone’s game. Except for Erik. Or Sherri. Or Eddie. So, let’s all congratulate Dawn or Cochran on becoming $1 million richer!
Dear God, don’t let the finale 3 be Erik, Sherri, and Eddie. F*ck. It’s going to happen now. If that does happen – I won’t blog. I promise you that.
Until Monday (or maybe not) :),

I think it was really crappy what they did to Brenda. I mean, it is a game for $1 million, so I can’t be to hard on them (and I probably would have done the same thing) but, come on!, Brenda was the ONLY person that got Dawn her teeth back. Also, doesn’t Dawn cry every episode because she’s a mean and horrible person? And then she does this to her island BFF? She better have breakdown and leave before the end of the game! lol
Anyway, now that Malcolm and Reynold are gone, I guess I’m team Cochran. I hope he can figure out a way to stick around and win the game. He’s probably the only one left that I like at all, as the rest are all pretty boring.
Wow, your paragraph about Dawn’s teeth had me CRACKING UP. I’m going to get in trouble for reading your blog at work.
On another note, really wish Brenda would have stayed. Not that she’s played a particularly fantastic game or anything but at least she’s won challenges or contributed to winning them. Oh well, I was team Cochran anyways.
I haven’t watched an episode since maybe episode 4, so I suck this season. However, I finally watched because I knew the finale was coming and as a viewer, hated what they did to Brenda. I know it’s strategic, etc. and you’re winning a million dollars, but it just plain sucks.
I used to like Dawn, but her crying is annoying me and making me want her to lose. I guess Cochran is the best choice left. Oh gosh…
Cochran is the only one that has made any moves and gotten away with them. I think he plants more ideas than actually goes through with them but he still plans it all! It was smart to get rid of Brenda, she would of won, for NOTHING!
