SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES – 12/5/12

December 6th, 2012 | 3 Comments | Posted in Survivor 25 - Philippines

Skupin talks to Malcolm about voting Carter out just as Carter walks up on them. Skupin gives it to him semi-straight, telling him that he’s an option to go home tonight, mostly because he’s a real threat in the game. This upsets Carter, because all season long they have all talked about how they want to keep people in the game who “deserved” (there’s that ugly word again) to be there, and to get rid of people who sucked the life out of the camp! He believes that they should respect the game and keep him there, and vote Abi out, because she’s a b*tch, as Malcolm would say.

Speaking of Abi, that girl just doesn’t get it. She is just completely oblivious to the social aspect of the game (and life, in general)! The best move for her wouldn’t have been to talk about how she found an immunity idol, it would have been to completely change up her demeanor, start talking nicely to people, take everyone aside and apologize for her behavior, throw some tears out there while talking about how you never wanted to be hated, maybe even talk about how you had a family friend who touched you inappropriately as a child and ever since then you’ve had a tough time trusting people and letting them into your circle. Instead, you just continue to cuss people out, tell everyone that they’re in the wrong, and pick fight after fight after fight. Ugh. As annoying as she is to watch, I just feel the pain for all of them who have to live with her!

Also, “if you tell a lie long enough, everyone” DOES NOT “start to believe it!” HOLY SH*T, she did not just say that!! Can people really be that stupid? She just has no sense of being able to read other people. I guarantee she’s one of those people who talk on and on to other people, and never notice that during the entire time she was talking, that other person never once looked at her, or even acknowledged the fact that they were part of the conversation. I used to work with a few people like this, and it would crack me up the things these people would ramble on about while I just kept staring at my computer, or even times when I would pick up my phone, start dialing, and begin conversations on the phone while that person still kept talking as if I cared about their third cousin in Iowa who milked a pig while fingering a chicken. Abi is one of those people, I’m willing to stake my life on it.

We finally make it to Tribal, where Lisa tells everyone she’s gained a new perspective on the game, and that she now wants to sit next to someone, in the Final 3, who she can easily beat, rather than someone she can respect! But, by next week, she’ll have had another epiphany, probably because she’ll claim to have seen Jesus’ face on a rock in the ocean, and she’ll want to take back all her bad choices, seek redemption from those she’s wronged, and sacrifice herself to the jury. As Elaine Benes would say, Yada Yada Yada.

Abi said some more about her idol. Nobody believed her. But, it didn’t matter, she didn’t even need the story, because they all wanted to vote out Carter – which they did! The sad part is that Abi will probably think they voted Carter out because they believed her idol story! Ugh.

Just two more episodes (well, three, since they break the finale up) to go this season. The finale is next Sunday, December 16th. So, I’ll see you all back here next Thursday, and then again next Monday!!

Until then,

  1. I think its not just Jeff that dislikes Abi – I think the production/editing team dislikes her too – I noticed that they show bad shots of her – tripping over stuff on the beach, rather than the booty strutting down the waters edge or something…makes me laugh. I wonder if she tries to engage the camera guys into debate or something, or says mean things to them too – b/c they like to show crappy shots of her. haha.

  2. I was really hoping that when Malcolm won immunity they wouldn’t switch the vote to Denise. That probably would have been the ‘smart’ way to play the game, but I’m glad they didn’t.

If someone brings that stupid Abi to the end just so they can beat her, I may scream. She is annoying as h@ll and such a B! And because she is sooo dense, she will think she actually made it to the end on her excellent game play – *eye roll*!

In real life, I would be just as wishy-washy as Lisa and worried about hurting people’s feelings . . . . which is one of the many reasons that I can talk about this show, but could never actually BE on Survivor.

Love your recaps – your sarcasm cracks me up!
