Hey guys! We’re already at episode 9 and I still have no idea who’s going to the finale. There’s usually a front runner by now, but something tells me this is not going to be one of those seasons that plays by the book. And considering all the criticism it’s getting – which I don’t totally agree with – I’ve decided to just keep an open mind on how the rest of the season will play out. As long as Jeremy wins because he’s the only one who deserves it…
But first, I want to go back and review the odds I gave at the beginning of the season, just to see how accurate I was. I know this may be a bit self-indulgent on my part – a theme in tonight’s episode – but I need a shot in the arm right now. They’re listed in descending order from favorite to least favorite:
Missy 9/2
Jon 5/1
Jaclyn 8/1
Alec 8/1
Kelley 8/1
Jeremy 10/1
Wes 10/1
Baylor 10/1
Josh 101
Reed 11/1
Val 14/1
Drew 15/1
Keith 17/1
Julie 20/1
Dale 25/1
Natalie 50/1
Nadiya 50/1
John 150/1
Ok, not too shabby. At least I’m fairly accurate at the top and bottom. I know this is all complete guesswork, with each piece of the puzzle reinventing the puzzle, but it’s like when the Vegas odds makers predict two teams will score no more than 77 points in the second half and they score 76. How is that even possible? And why did I make that bet last night…? Ugh! Let’s just see what tonight’s episode has in store…
But first (again!), I want to remind everyone of the little surprise I mentioned last week. A number of you were cool enough to send me some questions for a former player – which, by the way, were great! – and I was able to wrangle someone to answer them. I’m going to keep who it is a secret for now, since I haven’t finalized things with him/her, but let’s just say it’s a former All-Star, who has appeared on more than one season. I expect to be posting the responses next week, assuming both of our schedules allow for it, and if it happens sooner, I may be tweeting who it is, and revealing some their answers on Twitter during the week. Stay tuned!
Just want to clarify that all 3 of the Honey Boo Boo’s voted for Reed, so I guess that leaves him out of their little fraternity: Phi Delta Swamp. Sorry I missed that detail. A lot can go wrong at 1am…
I am getting bored watching this season. Plus how can they give us a whole episode with no Jaclyn boob shots. As Fish pointed out we do not need to see Missy’s poopy diapers.
Plus the viewers were left out of much of the voting strategy, the vote made no sense in what we were shown. Not saying the vote made no sense, just that we left in the dark. I hate when we are tricked like that. Let natural blindsides happen.
Also jeff is getting way too involved in the tribal meetings. Maybe my memory is failing, but in the early days I don’t think he tried to manipulate the game as much as he does now
