Coyopa arrives at Tribal and Jeff begins the interrogation…
Jeff to Keith: “you’re one against 6, how you gonna do it?”
“I still got some tribe with me.”
Jeff to Jaclyn: “Keith is right, but couples are gonna have to gang up.”
“Yeah, but we still have to work together afterwards.”
Jeff to Jon: “7 people left, that’s the time to make a move.”
“Yeah, but I got my girl 100% to help me figure it all out.”
Jeff to Dale: “Did you speak to the other couples?”
“I don’t like Baylor…”
Jeff to Baylor: “Wassupwiddat?”
“I just haven’t gotten to know Dale…”
(Dale interjects that Baylor voted for him though…)
Jeff to Jaclyn: “This is great news for you, you’re safe.”
“Yeah, we’re running this s**t”
(everyone then pays homage to the BMOC/BWOC)
Jeff to Kelley: “So, are J/J running this s**t?”
“Yeah, kinda sucks that Baylor’s a tool, but whatevs…”
Jeff to Missy: “What’s your take on this?”
“I’m Mama Bear. The Big Bad Wolf is gunning for my kid, I’m gonna go kill that wolf…”
(Kelley reminds her that Baylor went after Dale first…)
Basically, Missy is an over-protective parent, who’ll look out for her daughter more than anything. And while that may put a wedge between these two alliances, some things are more important that winning a million dollars on a reality show. And regardless of how things play out tonight, I think Missy will get a lot of positive social media feedback on the way she’s handling herself at Tribal.
But Jeff needs to hear one more thing from Keith, which is “tell us how much this sucks,”
“It dadgum sucks, Jeff.”
And the worst part is that whoever is voted out, the tribe will need to return to camp and still have to deal with/work with/live with that person, for possibly more than 3 more days. I guess this is exactly what the producers were hoping for when they envisioned Blood vs. Water, since they’re getting every single tear’s worth. Oddly, not a lot of emotions tonight, unless you consider Alec misting up when he saw his brother was out. With that, it’s time to vote…
Jeff returns and asks if anyone wants to play an idol. Not surprisingly, Keith remains seated since all this Tribal drama is working to his advantage. Looks like he’ll be around for another week or so…
Jeff reads the votes:
Baylor
Kelley
Baylor
Kelley
Dale
Dale
(the smug look on Missy’s face tells us she knows things have turned)
Kelley
And with that, the lines are drawn.
Did they vote her out because she was strong?
Did they vote her out because Dale is weak?
Did they vote her out because Missy and Baylor are weak?
Did they vote her out because of something we weren’t shown?
Was splitting their vote against D/K the right decision?
Lots of possibilities, but it doesn’t matter. J/J made their choice, and now they have to live with it. Again, Missy’s s**t kicking grin is a little tough to stomach, and the reaction on Dale’s face seems to say he’s done playing with these fools. Just watch next week as he becomes Dale the lazy guy, Dale the pissed off dad, Dale the “don’t f**k with me” anymore guy… Can’t wait for that.
In the tease for next week, we see that Dale is actually going to try to stick it out by playing his fake idol (uh, then why wouldn’t he have played it tonight?) So, who knows how that’ll work out for him? And with the trade that Hunahpu makes to get more rice, they’re essentially called the biggest whiny babies the show has ever seen. By the way, there will be a stiff penalty for their petulance. Perhaps an impromptu Tribal in exchange for the rice? That would be great…
Okay, we’re one step closer to the finale and another one bites the dust. Based on what I’ve observed, it looks like the show is playing up the story lines of Josh, Reed, Jon and Jaclyn, so maybe there’s something to that? Any thoughts from you folks? Let me know your favorites and theories… Can’t wait to see what you guys thought of tonight’s episode. Please drop me a line at any of the contacts below.
I’ll be doing the same old, same old until next Wednesday, and as always, I appreciate your input. Still trying to find something cool and unusual to present to you this season. Maybe I’ll release a list of the hottest players, or biggest jerks, or people we need to see again. I’ve noticed a bit of action toward Coach coming back, from both the Twitterverse and from Probst, and since I don’t want to jinx that, I’ll just say that that would be a good thing. Bring back Coach! Bring back Coach!
Until next week, remember these words of motivation, from a book I just finished reading: Mountain-climbing, like life, is not about reaching the summit. It’s about the climbing. Enjoy that journey while you’re on it…
And remember to swim upstream every so often…

Well I couldn’t ignore the visual about Josh “going deep” in the game. Thanks for that Mr. Fish! I also noticed the muddy boob shot of Julie, who had that sour puss fish face going for the entire episode. Notice, no boob shots of Natalie….Also, Baylor and her mom are really annoying. I also don’t get why they voted out Kelly and not Dale. Maybe the old theory that you keep the more annoying person around and if Missy and Baylor hate him, then that helps Jon-Klyn (get it Jon + Jaclyn)? The whole rice thing is really stupid too. Like you said, Isn’t the show called survivor? Aren’t they supposed to be hungry? Maybe they should have a food reward challenge? It better be a good punishment otherwise teams will eat all the rice from now on… We better get a good rain storm soon too!
Hi kinb! Glad you appreciate the same things as I do… Yeah, they don’t seem to play up Natalie’s sensuality, do they…? And I’ll agree with you on Missy, but not Baylor. They finally showed Missy in a bad way and she just came across as nasty to me. I can see why she’s thrice divorced. However, there’s something about Baylor that I find very appealing. IDK, just an innocence, longing, simple girl who isn’t pretentious. I could be way off, and judging by her music videos I’ve seen on YouTube, while she may be photogenic, she’s no songwriter. Why doesn’t anyone offer any help with that…? Whatev… I watched the Survivor Live with Jeff when Kelley was on, and it makes sense now. Evidently she was trying to get rid of Jon on Hunahpu, so now I understand why he didn’t want to work with her. And…Jon evidently was super close to Missy on Hunahpu (he used to call her “mom”) so that makes sense. Funny they didn’t show us any of that… BTW, I’ll refer to them as “Jonclyn” from now on… And regarding the rice trade, I’ve heard/read a couple possibilities: either the tribe will need to draw purple rocks to see who goes home or they’ll have to give up all their comfort items. Whatever it is, a precedent needs to be set that future seasons will need to abide by. If you ask for more food, someone goes home… However, you know that would get abused by a tribe with an unfavorable tribemate. We’ll see next week. Have a nice weekend!
