SURVIVOR – 10/27/11

October 27th, 2011 | 4 Comments | Posted in Survivor 23 - South Pacific

Next, Mary Ann asked me what other reality shows I’m addicted to, but also what scripted shows I watch?

As for reality shows, I never really watched them until I started dating/living with my wife. After we moved in together, I became a viewer of Survivor (I had only watched one episode up until 2004), American Idol, Big Brother, Real World, Road Rules, The Challenge, etc. But, she wasn’t alone sucking me in. Eventually, I started liking it on my own and got her into So You Think You Can Dance. We watch X Factor and the stupid VH1 shows like Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, I Love New York, I Love Money, etc. But, after having our daughter, things definitely have slowed down.

On the scripted side, that would take me years to talk about. I will just name the shows and if anyone wants to have a full blown conversation about any of them, just go ahead and email me because I’ll talk all day about some of these shows. My favorites now are Justified, Burn Notice, Mad Men, Dexter, CSI, The Mentalist, Blue Bloods, The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy, and on the comedy side, I watch Community, Modern Family, and The Office.

Lastly, Erin asked me which Reality Show Girl Contestant is my all-time favorite? I took this as which one I thought was the most attractive.

This was a hard one, because my memory is TERRIBLE. So, I’m probably forgetting a few, but I definitely did some research and have a top 5. I don’t watch EVERY reality show, so I’m probably missing some good ones, so feel free to share those with me. But, the list goes: Lacey Schwimmer (back in her So You Think You Can Dance Days…I still like her now, but think she is overdoing it), Bikini Girl from American Idol, Svetlana from Real World Miami (take away her crummy attitude and I’d stare at her all day), Rozlyn from The Bachelor (I’m not a blonde kind of guy, but this girl was crazy pretty), but my all-time favorite and someone I still need to thank, in person, for their Playboy spread is Cara Zavaleta from Road Rules and The Challenges. That girl will take some extreme effort from a serious contender to be surpassed. If anyone knows how to contact her, please do, and tell her I said Thank You!

Ok, I waited until the end to be a sexist pig, so I tried my best. But, hey, Erin asked.

Until next week,

Scott

  1. Great post! I felt so bad for Cochran when Probt started ripping on him during the challenge, then even worse when they got back to camp! I am def pulling for him, as an underdog! At the beginning of the season I was a huge Ozzy fan, but by last night I was happy he volunteered himself to be sent to redemption.

After the credits I noticed that Ozzy voted for Coch, are players not allowed to vote for themselves because I was certain they would show him with his own name written down.

And I am surprised by your answer the fav reality show female contesant… I thought for sure Cassi would be in the running! You were obsessed with her!!

    Thanks for the great read!

  2. Yeah, I know everyone expected me to go with Cassi, but had I had to write blogs about the shows those other girls were on, you would have seen what obsessed really is like!! 🙂

  3. So Scott you never answered the question above – are you not allowed to vote for yourself at Tribal?

  4. I’m pretty sure that Jeff says you can’t vote for yourself when there is a tie, so that must be the rule. I’m with Scott, I start to question why I am watching the show until I see a real survivor move happening. It’s not happening yet, but I hope it does(usually after merge). I love the blog, love to talk survivor. The first and best reality/game show. Also as good as the biggest loser for weight loss.
